The Galaxy A03’s replacement is the Samsung Galaxy A04. It is the series’ update for 2022 with an improved camera. Shortly after releasing its premium foldable phones, the Galaxy Z Fold 4 and the Galaxy Z Flip 4, Samsung is adding an affordable Android phone.
A 50MP dual rear camera, a 6.5-inch screen, and a 5000 mAh battery are all features of the Samsung Galaxy A04.
Resolution and Display
Samsung Galaxy A04 features a design reminiscent of the Galaxy A03. You get a plastic body with a glass covered front with a V-notch provided for the selfie camera.
The slight difference in design is the the two camera rings no longer sit on a bump, they are now positioned directly on the back.
You can buy the smartphone in four colors, namely Black, Green, White, and Copper. Like its predecessor it does not offer a fingerprint sensor.
Samsung Galaxy A04 also features the same display as its predecessor. The 6.5-inch PLS LCD display features a 720 x 1600 pixels resolution.

The chipset of the Samsung Galaxy A04 appears to be the same as in the Galaxy A03. A 1.6GHz quad-core CPU and a 1.2GHz quad-core processor power the Unisoc SC9863A (28nm) Octa-core chipset. An IMG8322 GPU is offered for graphics.
This processor is identical to the ones used in the Nokia C21, Nokia C21 Plus, and Itel P38 Pro.
Memory and Battery
You can select between 32GB, 64GB, or 128GB of storage. With the variant with 3GB RAM being discontinued, the memory is growing. The Galaxy A04 has 4GB of RAM as standard. Samsung is currently selling devices with 6GB and 8GB of RAM.
A dedicated microSD slot that can accommodate memory cards up to 1TB allows the storage to be expanded. You also receive a 5000 mAh battery, which offers adequate power to get you through the workday.
The Samsung Galaxy A04 utilizes One UI Core 4.1 and Android 12.
Price and Connection
The starting price of the Samsung Galaxy A04 in Nigeria is roughly 72,900 Naira. Leading online retailers are selling the Galaxy A04 for about $153, 13,050 KES in Kenya, and 925 GHC in Ghana.
In November 2021, the Galaxy A04 was announced, and in January 2022, it became available for purchase.
A 3.5mm headphone socket, a microUSB 2.0 port, Bluetooth 5.0 with A2DP and LE, and dual-band Wi-Fi are all included in this Samsung phone.
The maximum internet speed for this Android phone is 4G, hence 5G connectivity is not possible.
