The Umidigi F3s is a less expensive version of the Umidigi F3. While both phones look the same on the outside, the F3s came with some tradeoffs in order to reach a more affordable price.
The F3s has a 3.5mm headphone input, a USB Type-C port, and Bluetooth 5.0 connectivity. You get an FM radio with an FM antenna built in, so you don’t need to connect an earphone into the headphone jack to listen to FM radio.
The smartphone has 4G LTE connectivity, as well as dual 4G VoLTE and dual Wi-Fi. It also has NFC compatibility.
The Umidigi F3s has the same display, cameras, battery, and physical design as the F3, but with a different chipset and less RAM.
Design and Display
Umidigi F3s features the same curved Matte finish as the F3 and give the same color options: Hawaii Blue, Matte Sliver, Starry Black, Sunglow Gold, and Galaxy Blue. A bump on the back houses the three rear cameras and dual LED light.
In the front, a dewdrop notch houses a face camera. The fingerprint sensor is situated on the right side of the phone, next to the power button.
You get a customized button on the left, just like in the Umidigi A13, A13s, and A13 Pro. This button can be programmed to give you immediate access to an app or phone function, such as turning on the flashlight, with a single click, double click, or long press.
The Umidigi F3 has a 6.7-inch monitor with a resolution of 720 x 1650 pixels. The screen should be ideal for viewing movies and surfing the web.
Camera and Resolution
The Umidigi F3s has a 48 megapixel AI enhanced triple camera on the rear and a 16 megapixel camera on the front for photography. Both sensors are identical to the F3.
The primary Sony 48 megapixels sensor with wide angle 6-element lens with f/1.8 aperture and 78° FoV is supported by an 8 megapixels ultrawide angle lens with f/2.2 aperture and 120° FoV and a 5 megapixels macro lens with f/2.4 aperture and 80° FoV for the rear camera.
Software, Memory and Battery
The Unisoc T610 (12nm) Octa-core processor powering the Umidigi F3s. The chipset features a dual-cluster design with a 1.8GHz dual-core Cortex-A75 and a 1.8GHz hexa-core Cortex-A55.
This is the same processor found in the Umidigi F3 SE and the Power 7 Max, but it differs from the Mediatek Helio P70 found in the F3. Both chipsets appear to be evenly matched, with very little separating them.
A 5150 mAh battery provides up to 39 hours of talk time and up to 20 hours of movie playback. The smartphone has an 18W fast charging capability for charging.
This Umidigi phone comes with 6GB LPDDR4X Memory and 128GB eMMC 5.1 storage. It has a combination slot that can hold up to 256GB of memory.
Price In Nigeria
Umidigi F3s commence at around $161.99 on major online retailers such as AliExpress. The Umidigi F3s is anticipated to cost around N97,000 Naira in Nigeria, 2,720 Ghanaian cedis, and 41,900 Kenyan shillings.
The smartphone is now available for buy on major retail sites such as AliExpress and Jumia. It was released in May of 2022.
