Tecno Mobile is a Chinese mobile phone maker headquartered in Shenzhen. It was founded in 2006. It is a Transsion Holdings company. Tecno has concentrated its operations in Africa, the Middle East, Southeast Asia, South Asia, Latin America, and Eastern Europe.

Tecno Mobile was established in 2006 as Tecno Telecom Limited, but was later renamed Transsion Holdings, with Tecno Mobile acting as one of its subsidiaries. Tecno launched a second name, Itel, in Africa in 2007.

Following market research, Tecno focused completely on Africa in early 2008, and by 2010, it was one of the top three mobile phone brands in Africa.

Tecno joined the Middle East mobile phone market in 2016. It entered the Indian market in 2017, introducing its ‘Made for India’ smartphones: the i5, i5 Pro, i3, i3 Pro, and i7. The business began in Rajasthan, Gujarat, and Punjab and had expanded across the country by December 2017.
