The Xiaomi Redmi Note 11S 5G is, as its name suggests, more or less, the Redmi Note 11S in 5G form. It effectively replaces the 4G model’s Mediatek Helio G96 processor with the 5G-capable Mediatek Dimensity 810.
Aside from the upgrading to 5G, other of its features, such the front and rear cameras, seem to be a downgrade. The 6.6-inch AMOLED screen, 50MP triple back camera, 13MP front camera, and 5000 mAh battery are all included in the Xiaomi Redmi Note 11S 5G.
Display and Resolution
The main camera on the back of this Xiaomi phone was also decreased from 108MP in the 4G variant to 50MP in this 5G phone, thus the number of cameras is not the only problem with it.
Similar to the difference between the Xiaomi Poco M4 Pro and Poco M4 Pro 5G, the 5G version downgrade is striking.
The 6.6-inch IPS screen of the Xiaomi Redmi Note 11S 5G has a resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels. Additionally, you get a 90Hz refresh rate and a maximum brightness of 450 nits.
The Xiaomi Redmi Note 11S 5G shares many visual cues with the 4G version. Even their shared hue, Twilight Blue, unites them. Midnight Black and Star Blue are two separate choices from the other two.
Although it is a reduction from the 16MP camera in the 4G model, the front-facing 13 megapixel camera has an O-notch design similar to that of the 4G model.
On the back, the camera module appears to be the same, but if you look closely, you can see that one of the cameras—the depth camera—has been knocked over.
As opposed to the four rear cameras we saw in the 4G variant, the 5G device now has a triple rear camera configuration.
Prices
Price for the Xiaomi Redmi Note 11S 5G starts at roughly about $260 on Amazon and other reputable online retailers. In Nigeria, the Redmi Note 11S 5G costs roughly 200,000 Naira, and in Kenya, it costs 35,000 KES.

Software Version
Android 11 is installed on the MediaTek MT6833P Dimensity 810 (6 nm) octa-core processor of the Xiaomi Redmi Note 11S 5G. The Xiaomi Poco M4 Pro 5G, the Tecno Camon 19 Pro 5G, and the Realme 8S all use the same processor.
The chipset has dual-core Cortex-A76 and hexa-core Cortex-A55 processors with respective clock speeds of 2.4GHz and 2.0GHz.
Memory
You can choose between 4GB RAM with 64GB or 128GB of built-in UFS 2.2 storage and 6GB RAM with 128GB of built-in UFS 2.2 storage.
Connection
A USB type-C port, a 3.5mm headphone jack, Bluetooth 5.0, and dual-band WiFi are all included in the Redmi smartphone. Although this model offers 5G, it lacks the functionality of the 4G only model in addition to that.
Battery
Inside is a non-removable 5000mAh battery that is backed by a 33W quick charging technology. The Redmi Note smartphone can charge from zero to one hundred percent in under an hour.
