Honor Phone In Nigeria

Honor is a smartphone brand that is majority owned by a state-owned company controlled by the Shenzhen municipal government.

Huawei Technologies previously controlled it. Honor not only makes cellphones, but also tablet computers and wearable technology.

George Zhao was Honor’s worldwide president in 2016. Honor was purchased by Shenzhen Zhixin New Information Technology Co. Ltd. in November 2020. Honor was established in 2013 as a sub-brand of Huawei.

Honor’s smartphone line enabled Huawei to compete with mid-range online smartphone brands in China and around the world.

Honor distributes its products mainly online, but some Honor products are also available in stores in select markets.

Due to US sanctions, the Honor brand was sold in November 2020 to Shenzhen Zhixin New Information Technology, a majority state-owned business controlled by the Shenzhen municipal government, to “ensure” the survival of its then-parent company, Huawei.

US penalties prohibited American companies from selling hardware components to Huawei. Honor started selling its products internationally in 2014, with the Honor 3C debuting in Malaysia in April, followed by the Honor 6 in Europe in October.

The brand was sold in 74 countries by June 2015. In October of that year, announced plans to increase revenue to $5 billion and concentrate on India.

Honor’s Vmall online store, previously only accessible in China, was launched in Europe and the United Kingdom in 2015, allowing straight purchases from the manufacturer.

Honor made its debut in the United States in January 2016 with the introduction of the Huawei Honor 5X at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES). The Huawei Honor 5X was initially available only online before being made available in specific brick and mortar stores.

Honor also began selling the first exercise trackers this year. Recode reported in August 2016 that Honor had sold over 60 million products, earning over $8.4 billion in revenue.

Honor revealed at CES in January 2017 that the Honor 6X, which was previously only available in China, would now be available in thirteen new markets, including the United States.

Several technology magazines, including Android Authority, named the phone the “best of CES 2017.” Slash Gear, Talk Android, and Digital Trends. Honor began selling laptops and wearables in 2018, followed by earbuds and televisions in 2019.
