The launch of the Infinix Hot 20i heralds the start of the Hot 20 Series, a new generation of the Infinix Hot Series.
It is the most reasonably priced model in the series, which also includes the Infinix Hot 20, Hot 20 Play, Hot 20S, and the Infinix Hot 20 5G, the first 5G-capable Hot device. It is the Infinix Hot 12i’s replacement and features several software and hardware upgrades.
Camera and Display
The Infinix Hot 20i and Hot 12i have very similar designs.
Even if the color selections have changed, the two smartphones are still very similar to one another.
Contrary to what we’ve witnessed with a few brands, like Tecno, relocating the fingerprint sensor from the back to the side, even the fingerprint sensor is still on the back.
Wilderness Black, Luna Blue, Energy Green, and Sunset Gold are the remaining four color choices.
The 6.6-inch IPS display on the Infinix Hot 20i has a resolution of 720 x 1612.
This has a similar appearance to the 12i, but with support for up to 500 nits of brightness, the display can be made brighter for improved outdoor viewing. Additionally, blue light is reduced.
Despite their slightly varying positions, the three rear cameras appear to be the same.
Unlike the 12i when the little ring was the bottom camera, now you get the small camera ring sandwiched between the two big rings.
You continue to receive a 13 megapixel wide-angle lens, two QVGA lenses, and a dual LED flash.
The front-facing 8 megapixel camera for capturing selfies is located in the V-notch. Both cameras can capture 1080p Full HD video. LED flash is also present on the front camera.
Software and Storage
A MediaTek MT6762G Helio G25 (12 nm) octa-core processor powers the Infinix Hot 20i, which runs Android 12 and HiOS 10.6. The Helio G25 was also included in models like the Xiaomi Redmi 9A and the Nokia G10. Compared to the quad-core Helio A22 included with the 12i, this is an improvement.
Internal Memory and RAM
With the choice of 2GB, 3GB, 4GB, or 6GB RAM, you have two storage options: 64GB and 128GB. Through the Extended RAM function, it offers up to 3GB of virtual RAM for the model with 4GB of RAM and up to 5GB of virtual RAM for the model with 6GB of RAM.
Battery
The 5000 mAh battery on the Infinix phone is the same as in the previous model. But it now includes 18W fast charging, which speeds up charging.
Price
The Infinix Hot 20i starts at roughly 78,000 Naira in Nigeria. In Ghana, the Hot 20i costs about 10,000 GHS, while in Kenya, it costs 12,999 KES.
